A leading Am Law 100 firm is seeking a Transactional Tax Associate with 4+ years of experience to join its New York office.

The successful candidate will join a sophisticated tax practice advising private equity sponsors, investment funds, portfolio companies and corporate clients on complex domestic and cross-border transactions. The role offers exposure to M&A, fund formation, financing transactions and tax-efficient structuring.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on the tax aspects of domestic and cross-border M&A transactions
• Work on private equity, investment fund and portfolio company transactions
• Advise on debt and other financing arrangements
• Structure joint ventures and corporate transactions
• Provide corporate and partnership tax advice
• Develop tax-efficient structures for founders and investors
• Assist with international tax planning
• Advise on tax considerations involving renewable energy investments
• Contribute to publications addressing developments in tax law

Who You Are

• 4+ years of transactional tax experience
• Strong corporate and partnership taxation experience within a law firm
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
• LL.M. in Taxation is advantageous, but not required
• Accounting firm or clean energy tax experience is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Admitted or eligible for admission to the New York Bar
• Comfortable with a hybrid arrangement requiring approximately 60% office attendance

Compensation

Salary Range: $260,000–$310,000

Bonus eligible.
