Job Description

We are representing a prestigious law firm seeking a Capital Markets Associate to join their New York office. This full-time, partnership-track position offers an exciting opportunity to work on sophisticated corporate transactions, with a focus on capital markets. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience, a strong academic record, and exceptional analytical and writing skills. Previous experience or an interest in working with a New York practice focused on the power and utilities industries is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work on complex corporate transactions, particularly in the capital markets space.
• Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents related to corporate transactions.
• Provide legal support in all aspects of deal execution.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to manage and close transactions.
• Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis on various corporate matters.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate (JD) required.
• Must be licensed to practice law in New York.
• 1-2 years of experience in corporate law, with an emphasis on capital markets.
• A desire to work with a sophisticated practice in the power and utilities sectors (experience in this area is a plus but not required).
• Strong academic record with excellent analytical and writing skills.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this position is $225,000–$235,000, with variations based on factors such as experience, education, skillset, and geographic location.
