Corporate Finance Associate Attorney

Location: California

Salary: $225K – $365K

Experience: 1–5 Years

Advert Code: MLFS262

A highly regarded corporate finance practice is seeking an associate with 1–5 years of experience to join its growing team in San Francisco, Silicon Valley, or New York.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to build a sophisticated finance practice representing technology, growth-stage, and public companies on complex financing transactions. The team works with clients across the corporate lifecycle, from venture-backed businesses through established public companies, giving associates exposure to a broad and varied mix of high-value matters.

The successful candidate will advise on a combination of commercial finance and debt capital markets transactions, with potential matters including convertible, high-yield, and investment-grade bond offerings, as well as broadly syndicated, club, and bilateral credit facilities. The practice also handles acquisition financings, asset-based lending facilities, venture debt, and other strategic financing arrangements.

Associates are given meaningful responsibility and the opportunity to work closely with experienced lawyers and sophisticated clients on transactions that are central to their growth and strategic objectives. The environment is fast-moving and collaborative, with strong opportunities to deepen technical expertise and develop into a well-rounded corporate finance attorney.

Candidates Should Have

  • 1–5 years of relevant corporate finance, commercial lending, and/or debt capital markets experience
  • Experience with debt securities offerings and/or corporate credit facilities
  • Strong transactional drafting, negotiation, and execution skills
  • Excellent academic credentials and communication skills
  • Admission, or eligibility for admission, in the relevant jurisdiction
  • A JD
  • Previous experience working in a law firm

Compensation: $225,000–$365,000, depending on class year and experience, with the potential for discretionary merit-based bonuses.

The broader compensation package includes comprehensive healthcare coverage, retirement benefits, wellness support, paid parental leave, family-building assistance, childcare and caregiver resources, professional development support, CLE and bar-related expenses, commuter benefits, disability and life insurance, and additional voluntary benefits.
