A highly regarded national law firm is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Counsel with 8+ years of experience to join its growing Labor, Employment & Higher Education practice in San Jose.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior employment attorney seeking a position combining sophisticated employment litigation, strategic client counseling and meaningful business development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise business clients on complex employment law matters
- Handle employment litigation and contentious workplace disputes
- Draft pleadings, briefs and other substantive legal documents
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Draft and review workplace policies
- Investigate employee complaints and workplace issues
- Represent clients in court proceedings
- Provide strategic employment law advice
- Develop and maintain client relationships
Who You Are
- 8+ years of employment law experience
- Strong background in both employment litigation and counseling
- Active California Bar admission in good standing
- Experience drafting pleadings, briefs and workplace policies
- Experience conducting workplace investigations
- Strong academic credentials
- Exceptional legal research, analytical and writing skills
- Confident oral advocacy skills and willingness to appear in court
- Excellent interpersonal and client service abilities
Compensation
Salary Range: $230,000–$260,000
Compensation may vary depending on experience and qualifications.
