Job Description

A prominent global Am Law 100 law firm is seeking a highly qualified Associate to join its Mergers & Acquisitions/Private Equity group in the Dallas office. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile corporate transactions, including private equity and M&A matters, within a dynamic and collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in corporate transactional work, with a particular focus on private equity and/or M&A, gained at a nationally recognized law firm.

Responsibilities

• Handle complex private equity and M&A transactions, from deal structuring to negotiation and execution.
• Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents, including purchase agreements, partnership agreements, and related documentation.
• Provide legal counsel and strategic advice to clients, collaborating closely with senior attorneys and client teams.
• Conduct legal research and analysis, producing high-quality written work to support transaction goals.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate (JD) required.
• 3-5 years of experience in corporate transactional work, specifically in private equity and M&A.
• Strong academic credentials, with a demonstrated ability to draft and negotiate complex agreements.
• Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.
• Client-focused, team-oriented approach to legal work.

Compensation & Benefits

The estimated salary range for this role is $225,000–$420,000, with salary determinations based on factors such as experience, job history, graduation year, and practice area.
