A leading international law firm is seeking a junior Litigation Associate with 1-3 years of experience to join its nationally recognised litigation practice in Northern Virginia.
This is an excellent opportunity for a junior litigator interested in government investigations, regulatory enforcement, international trade and complex commercial disputes. The role offers exposure to federal district courts and the U.S. Court of International Trade.
Key Responsibilities
- Support government investigations and regulatory enforcement proceedings
- Handle international trade and customs-related disputes
- Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs and memoranda
- Assist with written discovery, document review and depositions
- Support witness preparation and case strategy
- Advise domestic and multinational clients on customs and trade-related matters
- Work closely with experienced trial lawyers on domestic and cross-border litigation
Who You Are
- 1-3 years of litigation experience at a law firm, or government agency
- Strong legal research, drafting and discovery experience
- Interest in international trade, regulatory enforcement and investigations
- Customs, tariff or trade-related experience is preferred, but not required
- Excellent academic credentials
- Strong written and oral advocacy skills
- Comfortable with meaningful client contact and responsibility
Compensation
Salary Range: $225,000–$260,000
