A leading national law firm is seeking an Associate with 2-4 years of experience to join its growing Issues & Appeals practice.
This is an excellent opportunity for a litigation associate with strong appellate experience and exceptional legal writing skills to develop within a sophisticated appellate practice. The position is partnership-track and offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced appellate litigators.
Key Responsibilities
- Support complex appellate litigation matters
- Conduct sophisticated legal research and analysis
- Draft appellate briefs, motions and substantive legal memoranda
- Assist with the development of appellate arguments and case strategy
- Analyse complex legal and procedural issues
- Work collaboratively with experienced appellate attorneys
- Take increasing responsibility across matters
Who You Are
- 2-4 years of relevant experience, corresponding to law school classes 2022-2024
- Strong interest in appellate litigation
- Prior appellate experience
- Appellate judicial clerkship strongly preferred
- Excellent academic credentials
- Superior legal research, writing and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction preferred, and required within one year of joining
Compensation
Salary Range: $235,000–$310,000
Compensation depends on experience, qualifications and location.
