A well-established regional law firm is seeking an experienced commercial litigator with 6+ years of practice to join its growing Michigan litigation team.

The opportunity is suitable for a Senior Attorney or Non-Equity Shareholder seeking significant responsibility for client matters, greater involvement in litigation strategy and the opportunity to mentor and develop junior lawyers.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent clients in complex commercial litigation
• Handle trials, hearings, discovery and motion practice
• Draft pleadings, motions, settlement agreements and other litigation documents
• Take and defend depositions
• Work with expert witnesses
• Develop case strategy and provide commercial legal advice
• Supervise and mentor junior attorneys
• Manage client relationships, deadlines and significant case responsibilities

Who You Are

• 6+ years of litigation experience
• Strong commercial litigation background
• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Admitted to the Michigan Bar
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills
• Experience managing litigation matters independently
• Strong client service and communication abilities
• Supervisory and mentoring experience is advantageous
