Job Description

We are representing a prestigious global law firm seeking a Patent Associate to join its dynamic and growing patent prosecution team in Denver. This is an excellent opportunity for an associate with one to three years of experience in patent prosecution, particularly in the electrical engineering, semiconductor, or related technologies field. You will join an outstanding team of attorneys, agents, paralegals, and business professionals, working with a wide range of clients, from multinational corporations to innovative startups.

The incoming associate will have responsibility for an active docket of patent prosecution matters, including drafting patent applications, managing the entire prosecution process (domestic and foreign), and advising clients on patent strategy. Additionally, the role provides exposure to conducting searches and preparing patentability, invalidity, and non-infringement opinions. There will also be opportunities to support the firm’s litigation and transactional practices.

Qualifications

• Admission to the Colorado or Washington bar.
• 1-3 years of patent prosecution experience, preferably in electrical engineering, semiconductor, or related technologies.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Strong academic credentials and excellent writing skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• USPTO admission.

Compensation & Benefits (Denver)

• Salary range: $200,000 to $225,000, determined by factors such as experience and expertise.
• Associates are eligible for the firm’s associate bonus program.
